Well, we made it safely to London in record time! Michael and I were actually bummed the flight from Washington, D.C. was only 6.5 hours. We could have used a bit more sleep, especially since we had sleeping pods. At 6am, our flight touched down and we immediately began exploring. I loved seeing Buckingham Palace, the changing of the guards, and all the beautiful, green parks. We enjoyed dim sum in China Town, then headed to the National Portrait Gallery! Unfortunately you cannot take pictures, so I stared at Duchess Catherine's portrait for a good 10 minutes. I just love her! Unfortunately I have developed a terrible cold so I returned to the hotel to rest for the rest of the afternoon. What a bummer! This evening we enjoyed traditional English fare of Fish and Chips, Summer Pudding and Cider. Tomorrow we have another big day... Off to dreamland!
